Your skin tells everyone around a lot of things about you. It tells them what you eat and how you eat it. It tells them how old are you and if you are aging properly or if you look too old or too young for your age. It tells them whether you are easily stressed and angered, or relaxed and pleased. For all these things, you need to make certain you do not kill your skin and that it will always say good things about you.
1- Smoking literally kills every part of you, much less your skin. It prevents the oxygen and vitamins your skin desperately needs to look good from reaching it. Moreover, collagen, elastine and many other vital components your skin need to be strong, fresh and elastic are destroyed with smoking.
2- Having a pessimistic attitude all the time makes your skin age early. Try to develop a habit of seeing the good side of things, and do not bottle in your feelings all the time. Frowns and stress wears out the skin of your face making it age and wrinkle quickly.
3- Not enough sleep is bad for your skin. It would not be called beauty sleep if it were not so true. Sleep is the time when your skin starts to repair and refreshe itself. Without enough sleep, fine lines, uneven colors, acne, sagging and many other problems appear quickly on your skin.
4- Too much sugar is bad for your skin. Not only does sugar kill your teeth and give you extra pounds, but it also kills your skin. Digesting sugar leads to glycation. Glycation is a process that attacks collagen and elastin if it happens for a long time, which will happen if you consume too much sugar.
5- Too much exposure to the sun is direct damage to your skin. Researchers have found that 9 out of each 10 fine lines and wrinkles on your skin are caused by UVA and UVB rays. When you go out, wear a sunscreen with an SPF level of 30 at least.
